Welcome to
Ramseyer Training
Centre - Abetifi

The Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC) Abetifi was started in 1898 as a Seminary to train teacher – catechists for the Presbyterian Church of the then Gold Coast. The Abetifi Seminary (as it was called then) was to compliment the training of Teacher – Catechists at the Akropong Seminary which was established in 1848. Some of the subjects taught at the time were – Ethics, the Creed, Baptism, Communion, the Psalms, Preaching and English. In their free times, the students helped to work on the Centre’s farm.

The Rev. Edmond Perregaux, Rev. Emmanuel Bellon, Cat. James Adae, Cat. Samuel Agyei and Cat. T. Hall were the tutors at the Seminary. Plans were made in 1899 to expand the facilities at the Seminary. Read More>>

Director's Message

Ramseyer Training Centre offers comprehensive training programmes designed to prepare individuals aspiring to fulfil various ministry roles, such as ministers, missionaries, counsellors, and others. Through these programmes, participants are provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively lead and serve in their respective roles, while cultivating a compassionate and confident approach.

Trainees have the opportunity to actively participate in practical learning activities, cultivate essential leadership attributes, and establish a solid groundwork for effecting positive change within their community.

You will graduate from our programmes with a heightened sense of purpose and a solid spiritual foundation. You will be prepared to impact the world for Christ wherever your journey takes you, equipped with both practical skills and spiritual insights.

The Centre also welcomes churches, organizations, and individuals who wish to hold retreats and training programmes with us. Additionally, we provide off-site training options, where we come to your location to facilitate the training programme.

Do not miss this opportunity to proceed on a life-changing journey. Now is the time to schedule a tour of our campus to see for yourself how God is transforming lives and empowering future spiritual leaders through the Centre.

RTC! Skill, Competence, Excellence
